Crewed Boat Charters
A sample and very special itinerary sees
you meeting crewed boat Goodtimes in Nassau, spending the first
night at the friendly Hurricane Hole Marina or the more
exotic Atlantis Marina, just a stones throw away,
affording you all the amenities of Paradise Island if
you so wish. The following day you head for Highborne
Cay, thirty-five miles southeast of Nassau across the
infamous yellow bank. At Highborne we have a special
trip to Allan Cay where you will walk amongst the wild
iguana population, have a swim and then return for a
sumptuous dinner on the aft deck of Goodtimes. Day three
sees you taking a brisk walk to visit the famous spring
at Highborne after which we leave to head south along
the Exuma chain.
We usually visit three islands in as many days.
Warderick Wells is a national park where you will see
the most beautiful beaches in the world in a protected
habitat. Here you can commune with nature in its most
raw and magical form. See the Bahamas as few
humans have seen it...exploring at your leisure,
swimming or just taking in the sun.
After Warderick Wells, Shroud Cay is just a short
hour and a half journey. This Cay features a natural
fresh water well where privateers used to provision in
days gone by. At Shroud you will visit "Mailbox
beach", the world's most special place to picnic
and explore. You will travel by dinghy to a natural
beach at the end of a spectacular half mile winding salt
water river that cuts its way through the island. At the
end of your trip through Shroud our crew will prepare a
special picnic for you while you swim and browse this
very special spot in the world.
From Shroud you will travel north to Norman's Cay.
This one time infamous spot was the home base for the
major drug traffic during the 70's and 80's. You can see
their air strip and the wreck of a DC 3 used to move
drugs through the Bahamas. A visit to world famous
McDuff's landing to sample their special tropical
cocktails brewed using a "lawn mower" driven
blender... plus a few other gems, just ask them about
the Tattoo ceremony..
As the sun sets at Norman's, look for the
"Green Flash" just as the sun sets behind the
horizon. The bright yellow of the sun and the bright
blue of the sea blend together as the last 3rd of the
sun disappears behind the horizon line, a sight
few see, then settle into happy hour followed by your
gourmet dinner. Relax under the stars savoring the magic
of the day before sleep. The next day you return to Nassau where you can savor
Paradise Island for one more night.
